‘collective acts can be extended, the void can be the link’

fragile interactions

is a series of wearable objects, expanding to an idea of collective jewellery produced with the aims of creating intimate interactions between individuals and discovering how unknown bodies interact with each other – how they move, how they peer at each other, how they react to (and together with) each other.

These objects can be understood as ‘extensions of the body’ or connections that unite bodies, performing a ritual of sorts. Viewers become participants as they are invited to slip into and between the objects, which play with different scales and weights and seem to seek physical experiences: the gaining of self-and other-knowledge as participants become aware of their own bodily relationships with the objects and of the different tactile sensations that can be created by gently grasping and wearing them.

Here, space becomes an instrument for interaction, a stage for contemplation.
